New tokens alert: SUI, GALA, MANA, RPL & RNDR have arrived for Australian customers

We’re thrilled to welcome Sui, Decentraland, Gala, Render and Rocket Pool to the CoinJar lineup.

From today, you’ll be able to buy and sell all of these cryptos on CoinJar, joining the more than 60 other cryptocurrencies that our Australian customers can already trade, store, send and spend.

Update your app to get access to the full available range of tokens on CoinJar.

These tokens won’t initially be available for purchase through CoinJar Bundles or on CoinJar Exchange, but will be added in the near future.

GALA (GALA) is an ERC-20 utility token on the Ethereum blockchain that functions as a play-to-earn cryptocurrency within the Gala Games ecosystem. Users can leverage GALA to purchase non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in the Gala Shop, influence network decisions, or secure rewards.

The GALA token serves as the primary medium of exchange within the Gala Games platform. In this network, players can own, trade, and utilise their in-game items across various games.

Decentraland (MANA) is an ERC-20 token. This digital currency is used within the platform to buy and sell virtual properties known as LAND. These properties are NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) representing ownership of virtual land parcels within the Decentraland universe. Owning digital real estate, where each LAND is unique and owned by community members, adds value and investment potential to the platform. Beyond its real estate aspect, Decentraland is also a space for user-generated content. From gaming and social experiences to art installations, its users shape and evolve the platform, making it a dynamic and ever-changing virtual world.

A key aspect of Decentraland is its governance model, which is implemented through a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO). In this system, MANA holders have voting rights on important decisions such as policy updates, land auctions, and content management.

Render (RNDR) is an ERC-20 token that's part of the Render Network, a project co-founded by OTOY CEO Jules Urbach. The Render Network is designed as a distributed GPU rendering network, leveraging the Ethereum blockchain to connect content creators with GPU power providers. This system aims to facilitate efficient and cost-effective rendering processes for 3D content.

Rocket Pool (RPL) is an ERC-20 token. It's part of Rocket Pool, a decentralized Ethereum staking service that seeks to make Ethereum 2.0 staking more accessible and user-friendly. Rocket Pool was started by David Rugendyke in 2016 and launched on Ethereum mainnet in 2021, and it's designed for Ethereum stakers that don't have the minimum 32 ETH required to become a full Ethereum validator.

Sui (SUI) is the primary currency of the Sui blockchain, serving various functions within its network. It is used for paying gas fees, executing transactions on the chain, and staking for network security. Additionally, SUI holders can participate in the project's governance, influencing its future direction.

Unlike traditional blockchain systems, which often struggle with network congestion and high transaction fees, Sui is built to be highly scalable. This scalability is achieved through consensus mechanisms and network design, allowing higher throughput and faster and more efficient transaction processing.

Happy Trading!
